Brother Claver Reardon CSC

Brother Claver Reardon CSC, died at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Student’s Infirmary on the University of Notre Dame campus, after a two weeks’ illness. Since 1947 Brother Claver has worked in the cashier’s office in the Administration Building on the campus. He was born Dec. 4, 1904, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and entered the Congregation of Holy Cross July 1, 1927, and made his final profession July 2, 1933.

 

During 1928 and 1929 he was a prefect at Notre Dame. From 1929 to 1942 he served as an assistant infirmarian at the Community Infirmary on the campus. He served on the staff at the Generalate of the Congregation in Washington, from 1942 to 1947. Since 1947 he has been associate with the cashier’s office and was a prefect on the Notre Dame campus. Survivors include two brothers and a sister, Sister M. Bergia OSU, of Cleveland, Ohio.

 

Friends may call in Corby Hall after 7 p.m. today. The Office of the Dead will be recited at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church, with burial in the Community Cemetery on the campus.
