Allen Terrell Redding Jr.

Allen Terrell Redding Jr., 17, affectionately known as "Terry," beloved son, brother and grandson who resided on Woodcrest Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away following a brief illness at 9:55 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center.

 

Allen, a senior at John Adams High School, was actively involved in the education talent search, student government, Bible Club, was a member of the Latin Club, an honor roll student, and the Who's Who of High School Students. Allen strongly participated in his church, New Horizons Outreach Ministry, where he was a member of the choir, a member of the flag ministry, and was a children's church teacher. He was also a published poet.

 

Loving family members who will cherish the memory of Allen include his parents, Allen and Denise Redding Sr.; a sister, Every Wallace; two brothers, Michael Redding and Adrian Redding; his maternal grandparents, John and Louise Beard, all of South Bend; along with many other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 23, in New Horizons Outreach Ministry, 707 North Sherman Street, South Bend. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Friends may call from one hour prior to the service in the church. Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
