Jeanette Maxine Redman

October 4, 1933 - July 22, 1996

Jeanette Maxine Redman, 62, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:48 p.m. on Monday, July 22, at the Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Mrs. Redman had been employed at South Bend Plastics in South Bend for the past 30 years.

Jeanette was born on Oct. 4, 1933, in South Bend, to the late Victor and Marie Smet. She was a lifelong area resident of South Bend.

In 1950, in South Bend, she married Homer R. Redman, who preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Grimm of South Bend, and Debbie Redman of Niles, Mich.; two sons, Douglas Redman of Mishawaka, and Michael Redman of South Bend, five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Germaine Dornseif of Fort Wayne, Ind. One son, Kevin L. Redman preceded his mother in death in 1957.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, at the Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, in the funeral home.

Jeanette was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 5.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association.
