Leota M. (Schori) Reinholtz, 76, of 209 Maplewood, Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 4:25 p.m. Thursday January 10, 2002, in the Hospice House of St. Joseph County after an illness with cancer.

She was born on July 4, 1925, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Dave and Sadie Johnson Ellsworth. She married Raymond Schori in 1948, they divorced in 1970. She married to Rudy Cesner who passed away in 1979. She then married to Marvin Reinholtz on December 12, 1981, he survives.

She was a resident of Mentone most of her life before moving to Mishawaka. She loved her family, friends, cooking and trying out new recipes. She was a graduate of Mentone High School. She was a homemaker and cooked for several years at Schori's Restaurant of Plymouth. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Mishawaka. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge during its existence in Tippecanoe.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; five daughters, Christine and Gary Hammond of Argos, Maren Plummer of Union, MI, Madaline and Terry Gohn of Osceola, Marsha and Jim Caldwell of Osceola, and Melody and Jerry Adkins of Elkhart; four sons, Kenneth and Sandra Schori of Tippecanoe, Kyle and Carolyn Schori of Mishawaka, Kurtis Schori of Mishawaka and Philippe and Alice Jones of Garrett, IN. Thirty grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her sister, Alice Danner of Bourbon.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Reinholtz; three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be Monday January 14, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ in Argos, with Lloyd Howard officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Deaton Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, Indiana and 1 hour before services in the church.

Burial will follow in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Indiana.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County in her memory.
