Julius E. Reiter: (South Bend Tribune 3/18/1967)


Julius E. Reiter, 56, of 733 S. Dundee St., died at 10:13 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after an illness of four months. He was a retired employee of Reliable Dairy. Born on Nov. 8, 1910, in South Bend, he married Adeline Jozwiak on Nov. 26, 1931, in St. Hedwig’s Church. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Agnes Reiter, South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Rita Nemeth, Fort Wayne, and Miss Kathy, at home; three grandchildren; a brother, Joseph, and five sisters, Mrs. Irene McFarren, Miss Henrietta Reiter, Mrs. Harriet Podemski and Mrs. Jerry Crothers and Mrs. Loretta Ritschard, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Rev. Richard J. Kennedy, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. He was a member of M.R. Falcons and Loyal Order of Moose. The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today by Father Kennedy; at 2 p.m. Sunday by members of the Alter and Rosary Society of St. Patrick’s Church, and at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by Rev. Casimir Grabasz, assistant pastor of St. Stanislaus Church.
