Rose Marie Richart

Rose Marie Richart, 72, of 50722 Mayfair Drive died at 1 a.m. Sunday in her home after a one year illness. She was co-owner with her husband of the former Richart Grocery Store at 1420 Lincoln Way West. She was born May 16, 1912, in Chicago, and lived in the South Bend area since 1930.

 

On Jan. 28, 1933, in South Bend, as Rose Marie Spagnolo, she married Victor C. Richart, who died June 14, 1961. She is survived by three sons, John A. of Fairbanks, Alaska, Edward J. of South Bend, and Victor H. of Alaska, 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Marshman and Joseph Pruittt, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Edward Spagnolo of Bradenton, Fla., and Nicholas Spagnolo of South Bend.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Hickey Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was a member of the church.
