29, 1940 - Dec. 20, 2009MISHAWAKA - Charlene K. Ridenour, 69, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 20th, in her residence. She was born on February 29, 1940, in Buchanan, Ml, to the late Agnes Carrie (Schmidt) and Roscoe Victor Raven. Charlene was also preceded in death by a sister, Sondralee. On March 28, 1964, as Charlene K. Raven, she married John C. Ridenour, who survives. Charlene is also survived by two sons, John Thomas (Margaret) Ridenour of South Bend and Brad (Pamela) Ridenour of Charlotte, NC; a grandson, Evan Ridenour; three sisters, Jeanne Marie Sherman of Venice, FL, Sheryl Diane (Kenneth) Noland of Niles, Ml, and Marian (Gilbert) Mattson of Vero Beach, FL; two brothers, Robert McKeel of Cassopolis, Ml, and Edward "Dick" McKeel of Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews. Charlene was a machine operator for Plastics Solutions, Inc. She loved to garden and was very good at growing roses. She enjoyed playing Yatzee and playing Monopoly with her grandson, Evan, and was an avid doll collector. Having lunch with her girlfriends and watching Evan participate in sporting events were times she relished and treasured. Charlene was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, and will be dearly and greatly missed by all of those whose lives she touched. Services for Charlene will be at noon Saturday, December 26th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until services on Saturday. Burial will be on Monday at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
