Anna J. Riley

Anna J. Riley, 82, of Berlin Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, in Saint Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Anna was born on May 2, 1918, in Akron, Ohio, to Paul and Mary (Mondich) Blasko, who both have preceded her in death. Anna was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul "Butch" Blasko; and by a sister, Rose Blasko.

 

On June 28, 1941, as Anna J. Blasko, she married Harold R. Riley, who preceded her in death in 1985. Anna retired from John J. Young School in 1985 after 17 years as a custodian. She is survived by four daughters, Judith Ann Riley, Rose Marie Riley and Barbara Lynn Riley, all of Mishawaka, and Sharon K. (Larry) Ward of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, George (Marlene) Blasko of Mishawaka; and by several nieces and nephews. Anna was a wonderful mother, and she loved her cat, Kitty, and her dog, Jesse. Las Vegas and her friends will miss her.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Bishop Daniel R. Jenky will officiate the services, with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
