Ruth M. Rinker

SOUTH BEND - Ruth M. Rinker, 76 of South Bend passed away Wednesday evening in Memorial Hospital. She was born December 8, 1933 in South Bend to the late Theodore C. and Sarah Pearl (Miller) Woltmann. On February 26, 1956 as Ruth Woltmann she married Robert LeLand "Bud" Rinker he preceded her in 1995. Also preceding her in death was a son Robert A. Rinker in 1980, Sister Edna Johnson, brothers Edmond and Leroy Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Amy R. Osthimer of South Bend; sisters, Susie P. Catto and Arietta Wade of South Bend. Her Beloved companion, Paul "Coky" Hollos and many nieces and nephews and numerous friends along with Paul's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. And her special K-9 companion "Blackie". Ruth worked many years in the food service business at Azar's, The Pancake House and recently at the Meijer's store on Portage Ave. She enjoyed helping people where ever she worked. Ruth graduated from South Bend Central High school and belonged to Delta Theta Chi. She was a formed member of Moose Lodge # 58, The W.I.B.C bowlers association. She was a die Hard Cub's fan and enjoyed going to the Blue Chip and Four Winds Casino. She leaves behind so many friends that will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday May 3rd. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North 17033 Cleveland Rd. Friends may visit with the family Sunday May 2nd from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services.
