MISHAWAKA - Gertrude M. Rittenhouse,
100, of 609 W. Tanglewood Lane, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in
Fountainview Place. Mrs. Rittenhouse was born Sept. 29, 1895, in
Elkhart.
In Mishawaka, as Gertrude M. Stanley,
she married Charles Rittenhouse. He died Jan. 3, 1943. She is
survived by a daughter, Colleen Person of Mishawaka; a
son, Stanley R. Hoffman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren;
and 13 great-grandchildren. A son, Richard R. Hoffman, died in
1994. She is a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
