Mishawaka Obituaries

Carl Ritter, 76, of 1816 N. Main, died at 5 a.m. today in Healthwin
Hospital, South Bend, where he was a patient for three days after a
long illness.  He was born in Warsaw on June 14, 1899, and lived here
almost all his life since coming from Warsaw.  He retired in 1956
after 20 years of employment at the Studebaker Corp., South Bend.

He married G. Marie White in St. Joseph on July 1, 1922.  Surviving
in addition to his widow are three daughters, Mrs. Leonard Niemier of
South Bend, Mrs. Raymond Niedbla of Granger and Mrs. Douglas Franklin
of New Orleans; a son, Jon C. Ritter of Mishawaka; nine
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Whisman of Mishawaka, Mrs.
Mildred Replogle of Elkhart and Mrs. Marjorie Harris of Pierceton,
Ind., and a brother, Melvin Ritter of Mishawaka.  Friends may call
from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in
the Bubb Funeral Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
St. Joseph County Cancer Society.

RITTER--Services for Carl Ritter, 76, of 1816 N. Main, who died
Friday in Healthwin Hospital, South Bend, will be at 10 a.m. Monday
in the Bubb Funeral Chapel.  Rev. Raymond D. Harris D.D. pastor of
the First Christain Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in the
St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.
today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral
home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County
Cancer Society.
