SOUTH BEND - Elsie H. Ritter, 73, of
Queens Row, formerly of 1230 N. O'Brien, died at 3 p.m. Friday in
her home. Mrs. Ritter was born July 30, 1920, in South Bend.
On July 1, 1961, as Elsie Copcsa, she
married Charles H. Ritter. He died Feb. 3, 1992. Surviving are
four sons, Frank R. Cerveny of Sacramento, Calif., Dennis
A. Cerveny of Jacksonville, N.C., Richard J. Cerveny of
Burkburnett, Texas, and Terry L. Cerveny of Colorado Springs,
Colo.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three
sisters, Elizabeth Charles of St. Charles, Ill., Rose Hamilton
of Hemet, Calif., and Ethel Cox of South Bend. She was a
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 Auxiliary, Mishawaka.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from from 3 to 6 p.m. today
in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
Hospice of St. Joseph County.
