Sister M. Pauline Roach CSC, 95, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died there Sunday. She was born Mary Ann Roach on Aug. 26, 1893 in Findlay, Ohio. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s in 1944, coming from Findlay. She was received as a novice on Feb. 2, 1945 and professed her vows on Feb. 2, 1947. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s College with a bachelors degree in music, and Indiana State University in Terre Haute with a bachelors degree in French. She taught music and French in secondary schools including St. Mary’s Academy, St. Joseph High School in South Bend; St. Angela Academy, Morris, Ill.; Schlarman High School, Danville, Ill.; and Marian Central High School in Woodstock, Ill.

 

Services will be at 4:30 p.m. on Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace, St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the convent, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
