Bernard F. Robakowski: (South Bend Tribune 11/20/1976)

Bernard F. Robakowski, 61, of 1001 Mayflower, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a three month illness. He was a janitor at Osteopathic Hospital. Born Oct. 10, 1915, in St. Joseph County, he had lived here his lifetime. On May 1, 1942, in South Bend, he married Stella Chlebek, who died in 1971. Surviving are a son, Dale, at home; a daughter, Miss Jeanette Robakowski of South Bend; a grandchild; two brothers, Ray and Robert, both of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Opaczewski of South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, with Rev. Daniel E. Peil, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Robakowski was a veteran of World War II.
