Conrad L. Roberts

MISHAWAKA - Conrad L. Roberts, 66, of 16881 Corby St., died about 10 a.m. Friday in his home of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Roberts was a retired electronic amusement game repairman. He was born June 6, 1929, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.

 

On Feb. 21, 1954, in Greece, he married Despina Thireos. She died Jan. 8, 1989. Surviving are five daughters, Ruth M. Brown and Laura J. Good, both of Mishawaka, Mary A. Verleye of Lake Oswego, Ore., Kathy Barb of Vandalia and Christina Negri of South Bend; two sons, Conrad A. of South Bend and John N. of Goshen; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary A. Davis of Mishawaka and Dorothy Burgraff of Granger; and four brothers, Bernard of Mishawaka, Thomas of Granger, Paul of South Bend and Joseph of Walkerton. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, St. Vincent dePaul Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 515.

 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake service will be at 6:30 p.m., and a half-hour before services Tuesday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent dePaul.
