Norma A. Robinson

March 15, 1923 - April 24, 2001

Mrs. Norma A. Robinson, 78, dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who resided on Birner Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, in her residence, after suffering a six-year illness. On March 15, 1923, in South Bend, she was born to the union of the late Robert Earl and Jessie (Herndon) Holliday.

 

In South Bend, in 1952, she and Bill Robinson were married. He preceded her in death in 1975. Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents were two sisters, Evelyn Bogan and Mary Ann McMorris; and two brothers, Gene Holliday and Stanley P. Holliday.

 

Norma lived in the South Bend area her entire lifetime, and was employed by Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. In 1987, after 30 years of service, she retired. She was also a volunteer for Saint Joseph Hospital, and was active in the March of Dimes program. Mrs. Robinson leaves to cherish her memory a son, Kyle (Peaches Casey) Robinson; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Thomas of Benton Harbor, Mich; two brothers, Donald (Gracie) Holliday of Benton Harbor and Robert (Elizabeth) Holliday of Sacramento, Calif.; along with other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today, April 27, in Alford's Mortuary, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
