SOUTH BEND - Charles F. Roedig, 73, of Key West, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died April 29 in his home. Mr. Roedig retired in 1983 as a French professor at the University of Notre Dame. He was born April 29, 1921, in St. Louis. He is survived by two brothers, William and Rev. Robert, both of St. Louis. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of St. Louis University and received a master's degree and doctorate from Yale University.
Memorial services were held Monday in Church of the Immacolata, St. Louis. Burial was in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, St. Louis. Additional memorial services will be at 5 p.m. June 5 in the Log Chapel of the University of Notre Dame. Ambruster-Donnelly Funeral Home, St. Louis, handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis University.
