Brother Myron Roes CSC, 88, of Dujarie House, Notre Dame, died this morning in St. Joseph Medical Center. He suffered a stroke Tuesday night at Dujarie House. He was born on July 26, 1894 in Tatringen, Holland. He entered the Brothers of Holy Cross on Aug 15, 1935 and made his first profession of vows on Aug. 16, 1936. He was assigned to St. Joseph Novitiate in Rolling Prairie until 1939, as which time he became a commissioner at St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas, where he served for 31 years. In 1970 he retired from St. Edward’s and lived there until 1977, when he moved  to Dujarie House. He is survived by a niece, Miss Aleida s of Novsto, Calif.; and a nephew, William Schalte of New York Mills, Minn.

 

There will be no local services. The body is being taken to St. Edward’s in Austin, Texas. Burial will be in St. Joseph Community Cemetery, Austin.
