SOUTH BEND – Miss Mary Virginia Rosenfeld, 71, of 1142 E. South Street, died Friday morning in St. Joseph Hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1908 in St. Louis MO, and had lived here 50 years, coming from Indianapolis. Surviving are a brother Donald of Charlotte NC; a niece and two nephews. She retired in 1974 s a teacher in the English Department at John Adams High School. She also taught in the English Department at St, Mary’s College and had been manager of the Aquinas Book Store. She held a bachelors degree from St. Mary’s College and a masters degree from Smith College, Northhampton, Mass.

 

 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery at Notre Dame. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Hickey Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Church or to the St. Joseph Cancer Society.
