Vernal C. Rossner

MISHAWAKA - Vernal C. Rossner, 101, of Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, formerly of Mishawaka, died at 12:49 p.m. Saturday in the nursing home. Mrs. Rossner was the owner and operator of Karmel Corn Shop for 10 years. She was born Sept. 5, 1892, in Plymouth.

 

On Feb. 8, 1915, in Kalamazoo, as Vernal C. Conger, she married George A. Rossner. He died in March 1946. Surviving are three daughters, Betty Fenske of Michigan City, Patricia Satrom of Fresno, Calif., and Jeanette M. Brubaker of Venice, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was a member of Timberland Bible Church, South Bend.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
