Aug. 15, 1936 - Feb. 20, 2010MISHAWAKA - Sarah J. Rothy, 73, passed away on Saturday, February 20, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Sarah was born on August 15, 1936, in Mishawaka, to Victor and Anna (Deluvia) Desimone. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Ross Desimone. On January 17, 1959, in Mishawaka, as the former Sarah Desimone, she married Ronald J. "Sam" Rothy. Surviving are her husband, Sam; three daughters, Elizabeth (Phil) Johnson, Christine Tavernier and Ann Marie Bragg, all of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Brittney Nicole Tavernier, Wesley Johnson, Cory Tavernier, Ashley Johnson, Courtney Bragg, Heather Bragg and Kenneth Sparks; a sister-in-law, Helen Desimone of Mishawaka; and brothers, Louis (Camille) Desimone, Victor (Becky) Desimone Jr. and Michael Desimone, all of Osceola. Sarah was a Mishawaka High School alumni. She enjoyed cooking and being outside in her garden, but most of all she loved having family time. There will be no visitation.
