Alice Mae Rozow

March 16, 1926 - May 8, 1999

Alice Mae Rozow, 73, of Edison Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away following a long illness on Saturday, May 8, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Alice was born March 16, 1926, in South Bend, to Floyd and Dorothy (Bakeman) Lehman.

 

On Sept. 12, 1942, she married Stephen Rozow. Alice was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Stephen. Left to cherish her memory are her three loving children, Maria Morelli and her husband Fred of Sugar Grove, Ill., Diane Darnell of South Bend, and Stephen Rozow, Jr., and his wife, Carolyn of North Webster, Ind. Also surviving are eight beloved grandchildren, Teresa (deceased, Sept. 19, 1972), Stephen Ill., Melissa, Scott, Stephanie, Julianne, Leslie and Christine. Her family grew to include the blessings of 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy.

 

Visitation was held from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Saints Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, South Bend, with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, South Bend. Mrs. Rozow was a homemaker, and a member of the Sisters of the Serbian Circle. She fought a long battle with emphysema for the past two years, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
