SOUTH BEND - Jo Ann Rupchock, 61, of Bendix Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 10:05 a.m. on Sun-day, April 6, in her home. Mrs. Rup-chock was born April 23, 1935, in Topeka, Kan., and had resided in this area most of her life. She had also resided in Florida from 1979 to 1991. Mrs. Rupchock attended the Sherwood Music College in Chicago, Ill., and she taught and took lessons at the South Bend Conservatory of Music in South Bend.

She was married on Dec. 31, 1992, in Osceola, Ind., as Jo Ann Sholty, to Andrew P. Rupchock, who survives. She is also survived by four daughters, Kathy Jo Russell and Donna D. Johnson, both of Topeka, Debra K. Terry of South Bend and Lisa Marie McKee-Newland of Mishawaka, Ind.; one son, David W. Thompson of South Bend; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy Corber of Topeka; and by her father, William Henry Schuenight of Los Angeles, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth J. Thompson in 1974; and by another son, Richard M. Thompson in 1977.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral Home.Services were held at 12:30 p.m. today in Riverview Cemetery. Burial followed in the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
