OSCEOLA - Charles V. Russell, 74, of 10732 Fairview Ave., died at 10:27 a.m. Monday in Michiana Community Hospital after an illness. Mr. Russell retired from Youngstown Sheet & Tube, East Chicago, Ind., and lived in Osceola most of his life.

On April 19, 1965, in East Chicago, he married Ruby Stricklin. She survives with five daughters, Shirley Christman of Mishawaka, Mary Ann Parker of Florida, and Norma Rogers, Charlene McCreery and Margaret Mills, all of South Bend; four sons, Travis Stacy of South Bend, Jason Stacy of Osceola, Larry Stacy of Prince George, Va., and Jimmy Stacy of Mishawaka; 46 grandchildren; 24 great-granchildren; and a sister, Margaret Ruth of Elwood, Ind.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
