Marvin H. Rusticus

MISHAWAKA - Marvin H. Rusticus, 79, of East Lawrence Street, died at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Rusticus was a mail carrier in Mishawaka for 30 years, retiring in 1977. He was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Holland, Mich. In 1942, in Brian, Ohio, he married Mary Mady. She died in 1978. On Nov. 2, 1981, in Mishawaka, he married Jean (Martello) Kronewitter. She survives with two stepdaughters, Sandra Phillips of LaGrange, Ga., and Donna Dickens of South Bend; a stepson, John Kronewitter of Mishawaka; five step-grandsons; four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Waldo of Longview, Texas; and two half-sisters, Mary Jo Carter of Cincinnati and Faith VanTubbergen of Anaheim, Calif. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, the Letter Carriers union and the Dutch Reformed Church of Holland.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, with military services by VFW Post 360. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
