Sister Mary Esperance CSC, music teacher at St. Mary’s College, died at 10 a.m. Sunday in Saint Mary’s Convent Infirmary. She was born as Brigdet Mary Ryan in Ireland on Feb. 9, 1866, and had been a member of the St. Mary’s community for 54 years.

Funeral services were in the chapel of the Immaculate Conception at St. Mary’s today. Burial was in the community cemetery at St. Mary’s.
