Mrs. Mary Graves Savery

July 1, 1893 – November 8, 1983

Mrs. Mary Graves Savery, 90, of  Dunedin FL, formerly of South Bend, died at 8:05am Tuesday in Mease Hospital, Dunedin, after a brief illness.

Born on July 1, 1893, in Union City MI, she lived in the South Bend area most of her life.  On June 28, 1913, as Mary Graves, she married Charles E. Savery, a former South Bend physician who died in 1969.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James (Mary) Hall of South Bend; a son, Charles E. Savery Jr. of Yazoo City MS; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Jane Lineback, in 1958.

Services will be at 3:30pm Saturday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., with Rev. Philip Sorenson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Interment will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.  There will be no visitation.  She was past president of ST Joseph County Medical Society Auxiliary.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
