Anna C. Sawyer

Anna C. Sawyer, 90, of Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, in the Countryside Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka.

Anna was born on July 6, 1909, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Eby) Sawyer. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Sawyer, and by a brother, Lewis Sawyer. Anna was a lifelong Michiana area resident.

She is survived by a sister, Margaret Sawyer of Mishawaka; two nieces, Sue Lawall and Linda Canarecci, both of Mishawaka; and by a nephew, Tom Sawyer of Dallas, Texas.

She was employed by the former Wheelabrator for 53 years, retiring in 1980. Anna was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, and one hour prior to the services on Friday in the church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, in the First Untied Methodist Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Osceola Cemetery, Osceola, Ind.
