Bonnie I. Schalliol, 59, residing on Mark Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 5:05 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 29, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
Mrs. Schalliol was born on Nov. 6, 1939, in South Bend, to the late Elwood and Ruby Roher Ernsperger and has remained a lifelong resident of this community. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Schalliol; two sons, Ronald and Michael Schalliol; and by two sisters, Beverly Lawrence and Ruth Fletcher.
In May of 1956, in South Bend, she married Merlin G. Schalliol, who passed away on Jan. 6, 1996.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Schalliol of South Bend; a granddaughter, Brandi E. Schalliol, a grandson, Timothy L. Long and their mother Liz Long-Schalliol, all of South Bend; a sister, Mary Patsy Mitchell of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, George (Marge) Ernsperger of Niles, Mich., Donald (Wilma) Ernsperger of Osceola, Ind., and Roy Gene Ernsperger of Elkhart, Ind.; and by 18 nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Schalliol will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Don Francis will officiate.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home.
