Dorothea Schalliol

Dec. 18, 1858 – April 18, 1917

MISHAWAKA – Mrs. August Schalliol, aged 59, died on Wednesday at her home, 10 miles southwest of Mishawaka, following an illness of paralysis. When she was two and a half years old she came to this country with her parents and settled in Madison Township, where she had once resided.

 

On April 30, 1882 she was married to her surviving husband. Nine children also survive. They are. Mrs. J. V. Klein, south of the city; Walter of Mishawaka; Victor of Wakarusa; Tod and the Misses Nora, Amelia and Elsie Schalliol and Grover at home. She also leaves four brothers, Louis, John and Phillip Bolenbacher of Madison Township, and Fred Bollenbacher of Wakarusa; also two sisters, Mrs. Frank Hahn and Mrs. James Strope of North Liberty.

 

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence and Rev. Paul Groo of the German Evangelical Church will officiate.
