Wilbur J. Schalliol

MISHAWAKA – Wilbur J. Schalliol, 61, of 414 Studebaker Street, manager of the Mishawaka Farmers Dairy and an employee there for 32 years, died about 10:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of three weeks following surgery there. He was an active civic worker and a charter member and past president of the Kiwanis Club. He also was a member of lodge 130, Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. He was born Dec. 10, 1905 in Mishawaka.

 

He was married to Miss Marian Shamo, June 24, 1937 in this city. He is survived by his wife; a son John, a member of the US Navy, home on leave; a daughter Ann, a student at Purdue University, Lafayette; five brothers, Richard and Robert of Mishawaka, Edgar of South Bend, Paul of Washington, Ind. and Herbert of Denver, Colo; one sister, Mrs. Joseph L. Mossey of Mishawaka, and his father, Charles C. Schalliol, also of this city.

Funeral services for Wilbur J. Schalliol, 61, of 414 Studebaker Street, who died Monday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Methodist Church. Rev. W. Wayne Yeater, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 p.m. today to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Sprague Funeral Chapel, and from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to the funeral hour in the church. The family suggests memorial to be made to the St. Joseph Hospital expansion fund or the First Methodist Church.
