Ivo E. Scheffler

Ivo. E. “Dick” Schleffler, 69, of Edwards Way, Niles, Michigan, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, in his residence.

 

Ivo was born in Lakeville Nov. 5, 1927 to the late Ivo an Katheryn Scheffler. He retired from the Dodge-Reliance Corporation in 1974 after 32 years of service.

 

On Jan. 4, 1947, he married Ada Marie Campoli in Mishawaka, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Linda M. (George) Johnson of Beverly Hills, Fla. and Cheryl L. (Robert) Quinn of Niles; five grandchildren, Gina M. Eichler of Beverly Hills, Fla., Maria L. Burd of Hermando, Fla., Robert Quinn of Edwardsburg, Danny R. Quinn and Ryan D. Quinn, both of Niles; four great-grandchildren, Amanda M. Whittaker of Elkhart, Kaleigh N. Quinn of Edwardsburg, Jordon S. Burd of Hermando, and Justin C. Eichler of Beverly Hills, Fla.; five sisters, Mary I. Dutenhaver of St. Petersburg, Fla., Hazeldene Studebaker of Mishawaka, Virginia R. Edge of South Bend, Irene Roose of Mishawaka and Betty Jean Smith of Elkhart.

 

Ivo was a Naval veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of VFW Post 360, Mishawaka, and the DAV, Niles.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, Mishawaka. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Rev. Larry Dutenhaver will officiate.
