Mildred V. Scheibelhut

Nov. 12, 1921 - Dec. 9, 2002

On Dec. 9, 2002, an angel came down from heaven and took our dear mother's hand and led her up to heaven to be with her loving husband, a place she longed to be. Mildred resided in her home on Main Street, Mishawaka, Ind.

She was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Mishawaka, to Alfred and Mary (Futterknecht) Trippel, who both preceded her in death. On Oct. 9, 1941, she married Robert J. Scheibelhut in Mishawaka. He died Jan. 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Winckauf; and by a brother, Robert Tripple.

Mrs. Scheibelhut is survived by her sons, James R. (Becky) Scheibelhut, Thomas R. Scheibelhut, Paul E. (Seanna) Scheibelhut, all of Mishawaka, and Larry J. ( Freda) Scheibelhut of Granger, Ind.; her daughters, Mary Lou Seltzer of Mishawaka and Karen (Dennis ) Culp of South Bend, Ind.; and by her sisters, Pauline (Donald) Heckman and Geraldine Gropp of Lakeland, Fla. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Scheibelhut at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where a wake service will be held at 3 p.m. today. Burial will follow the services on Friday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.

She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
