MISHAWAKA - Mary Schelstraete, 79, Jefferson Boulevard, died at 1:05 p.m. Friday in Fountainview Place. Mrs. Schelstraete was born March 15, 1915, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 2, 1940, in South Bend, as Mary Toth, she married Michael Schelstraete. He survives, with a daughter, Joyce Sienicki of Crown Point, Ind., and two grandchildren. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the church. Burial will at a later date. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Hahn Funeral Home where a prayer service will be at 5 p.m.
