Kenneth P. Schlarb, 91, formerly of Layton Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, Ind. Mr. Schlarb was born on March 16, 1906, in Madison Township, St. Joseph County.
On Dec. 18, 1930, in Zion United Church of Christ, Woodland, Ind., he married Caroline L. Stuber, who preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 1990. He was also preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr. Schlarb is survived by one daughter, Joann (James) Overmeyer of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two granddaughters, Julie (Sean) Eckelbarger of Denver, Colo. and Janet Farlas of Mishawaka; and by two great-grandsons, Justin E. and Zackary E.
He was a self-employed farmer for many years in St. Joseph County. Mr. Schlarb was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Thursday in the St. John United Church of Christ, Indiana 331, Woodland, with Rev. Kenneth Seiffertt officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Woodland.
