Dorothy I. Schmok, 84, of Sunnymede Avenue, South Bend IN, passed away after an illness at 5am on Friday, January 15, in the home of her daughter.

She was born on October 14, 1914, to Mary Ann (Coleman) and Charles E. Suabedissen in South Bend, and lived in this area all of her life.  On October 26, 1935, in South Bend, as Dorothy I. Suabedissen, she married Edward A. Schmok, who passed away on February 25, 1975.

Mrs. Schmok is survived by one daughter, Nancy Ann Schmok of South Bend; three sons, Charles Edward, Robert Dale and James Alan Schmok, all of South Bend; four grandsons, Steven, Scott, Kevin and Kenneth Schmok; four great grandchildren, Connor, Erica, Dorothy and Logan Schmok; an by one sister, Geraldine Keesy of South Bend.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.  Family and friends may call form 2 to 6pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road. 

Services will be at 11am on Monday in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 3012 S. Twyckenham Drive, South Bend IN 46614.
