SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Margaret A. Schneider, 82, of South Bend, passed away there on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. She was born June 16, 1925, in Winchester, to Burley and Alice Pegg Arnett.

She was united in marriage to Harold W. Schneider in Washington, D.C., on January 5, 1945. She had lived in South Bend since 1949, and was retired from Kreamo after 35 years of service. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Mrs. Schneider is survived by her husband, Harold, a sister, Sara Clements of Williamsburg, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Schneider was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Jane Mills, Esther Waters, Josephine Young and Annabell Vanaman; and by a brother, Charles Thomas Arnett.

A prayer service will be conducted by The Rev. Todd Riebe at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday, April 3) in the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City, IN. A graveside committal ceremony will be conducted afterward at Willow Grove Cemetery.
