SOUTH BEND - Alma O. Schramm, 86, of Veterans Retirement Home, West Lafayette, Ind., and formerly of Jewell Road, South Bend, died at 9:48 p.m. Thursday in the retirement home. Mrs. Schramm was a retail clerk for the former Cook's store.

She was born Oct. 22, 1907, in Fowler, Ind. On May 31, 1941, in Mishawaka, as Alma O. Cyr, she married Raymond F. Schramm. He died Jan. 22, 1992. Surviving are two daughters, M. Rita Rodino of Lakeville and Carol Gudino of Clinton, Ind.; a son, Thomas of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Jeannette Cyr of Chicago and Adele McHugh of South Bend; and four brothers, Father Lawrence Cyr of Coleman, Texas, Brother Stephen Cyr of Chamberlain, S.D., and Wilbur Cyr and Paul Cyr, both of South Bend. A son, Larry, died in 1975. She was a member of the Rosary Sodality and the Legion of Mary.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Jude's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.
