Rita J. Scope, 63, of South Bend, IN,
passed away on Friday, November 3, 2000, in her residence. Mrs.
Scope was born on March 16, 1937, in South Bend, IN, and was a
lifelong resident. She retired in 1999 after 25 years of service
in the Communication Services Department of Memorial Hospital.
On November 28, 1957, in St. Adalbert
Church, as Rita J. Kwasneski, she married Ronald A. Scope,
who survives. Also surviving are her children, Pamela A. (Nevin)
Clark of North Liberty, IN, Christopher J. (Maryann) Scope of
Apex, North Carolina, Craig R. (Laura) Scope of South Bend, IN;
six grandchildren, Christian Scope, Jeffery Clark,
Jennifer Scope, Nicholas Scope, Brian Scope and Stephanie Scope;
and two sisters, Virginia (Daniel) Wachowiak of Florida
and Joan (Norman) Klimek of South Bend, IN.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM,
Tuesday, November 7, 2000, in Corpus Christi Church. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus
Foundation, South Bend Sub-Chapter, P.O. Box 3900, South Bend, IN
46619-0900. Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
