Emil A. Seach

Emil A. Seach, 86, of 19414 Haviland Drive, South Bend IN, passed away Friday, August 24, in the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility.

 

He was born on October 27, 1914, in South Bend, to the late George and Julia (Toth) Szucs.  On July 2, 1938, he married Genevieve M. Kramer, who also preceded him in death on March 15, 1992.

 

Mr. Seach is survived by a daughter, Carolyn K. (Thomas T.) Dobski of South Bend; a son, James T. (Yvonne) Seach of Indianapolis IN; eight grandchildren, Cheryl K. (Dennis) Henry of Greenwood IN, Christi K. (Ray) Mullen of South Bend, Stephen T. Dobski of South Bend, Brett A (Melissa) Seach of Indianapolis, Scott C. (Amy) Shaver of Indianapolis, Brea Y. (Roy) Shaver of Indianapolis, Amber L. Seach and Allyson A. Seach, both of Indianapolis; eight great grandchildren, Westin D. Williamson, Jessica B. Williamson, Rock A. Henry, Nicholas A. Mullen, Kayla N. Mullen, Alexis Fries, Brooke Shaver and Josie Seach; and by a brother, George Seach of St. Augustine FL.

 

Mr. Seach was employed by Studebaker for 32 years, and then AM General for 12 years, until his retirement in 1976.  He was a Holy Cross Catholic Church parishioner.  Mr. Seach was an avid, lifelong fisherman, and served as an usher for Notre Dame football games for 21 years.

 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm today, August 26, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Monday, August 27, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.

 

Contributions may be made in Mr. Seach’s name to the charity of donor’s choice.
