SOUTH BEND - Stephen H. ''Harry'' Seall,
78, of 52133 Friars Court, died at 7:35 a.m. Saturday in his home
after an illness. Mr. Seall retired after 45 years as supervisor
of the Grind Shop at Torrington Manufacturing Co. He was born
July 28, 1915, in Robinson, Ill., moving to this area 45 years
ago from Robinson.
On June 26, 1937, in South Bend, he married
Mildred R. MacDonald. She survives with four sons, Stephen
A. of South Bend, Dr. Richard H. of Granger, William H. of
Dayton, Ohio, and Michael E. of Carmel, Ind.; 14 grandchildren;
and three sisters, Elsie Barr of Sarasota, Fla., Velma Sackett
of Anchorage, Alaska, and Eunice Payne of Lawrenceville,
Ill. He was a member of Torrington Foreman's Club, Torrington
Retirees Club, and Englewood Florida Elks Club.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St.
Joseph Catholic Church. Cremation will take place in Riverview
Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in McGann
Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road. Memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or Memorial Health
Foundation.
