Barbara Victoria Seebauer

Dec. 25, 1856 – July 7, 1940

Mrs. Barbara Victoria Seebauer, aged 84, died at 6 o’clock Monday in the home of her son, Charlesd L. Seebauder, 517 Benton Street. She had been ill three months, and suffered a broken hip in a fall several weeks ago. Mrs. Seebauer was born Dec. 25, 1856 in Maumee, Ohio, the daughter of George and Katherine Ellert, early settlers of that place. She came to Mishawaka ten years ago.

 

She was married to Joseph G. Seebauer. Who died in 1897. Surviving besides the son in whose home she lived are another son Arthur P. Seebauer of Maumee, a daughter, Mrs. Fred Rome of this city, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Seebauer was the oldest member of of the Woodmen circle in this city and was a member of the Rosary Society of. St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

 

Funeral service were conducted this morning in St. Monica’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Anthony Badina officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
