SOUTH BEND - George A. Seifert, 92, of Paxson Drive, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Seifert retired in 1981 from South Bend Tool and Die. He was born Aug. 23, 1903, in Rehau/Oberfranken, Germany, and came to the United States from Germany in 1923.

On June 30, 1930, in New York City, he married Martha E. Pfitzenmaier. She died Nov. 3, 1984. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Ann Arbor and Richard of South Bend; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hans of Augsburg, Germany. He was a member of South Bend Turners and International Association of Machinists.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to South Bend Turners.
