MISHAWAKA — Shirley J. Seifert, 73, of Early Road, died in her home on Friday, Jan. 3.

Mrs. Seifert was born in South Bend on Jan. 13, 1929, to George and Alice (Engle) Dering, and is survived by a son, Erich (Pamela) Seifert of Osceola, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Marty (Diane L. Seifert) Eby of Edwardsburg, Mich.; two grandchildren; and by a brother, Richard of Osceola. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Seifert.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, where the service will be at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Seifert was a homemaker and an avid supporter of the St. Joseph County Humane Society. She was also a member of St. Andrew's Church of Christ.
