SOUTH BEND - Henrietta R. (Foldenauer) Semala, 95, passed away on Monday, Oct. 6th, at 7:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross. Henrietta was born on September 7, 1913, in Michigan City, to the late Frank and Cecilia (Urban) Kabocinski. In 1934 she married Lawrence Foldenauer, who preceded her in death in 1956. On December 30, 1972, she married Vender "Van" Semala, who passed away on February 2, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Foldenauer; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Foldenauer; and by two sisters, Dorothy Losiniecki and Alice Bogolawski. She is survived by her three sons, Lee (Diana) Foldenauer of South Bend, William (Miriam) Foldenauer of LaPorte and Mike (Anita) Foldenauer of South Bend; a daughter-in-law, Linda Foldenauer of California; a stepson, Richard (Adele) Semala of California; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; her sister, Florence Sobkowiak, and her brother, Richard (Darlene) Urban, both of Michigan City.

 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9th, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10th, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Private burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 153 Tilden Ave., Michigan City, IN 46360.
