Helen L. Seward

Helen L. Seward, 85, 190 Joy Drive, Johnson City, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died in the Lakebridge Health Care Center on March 2, 2000. Helen was born April 22, 1914, in Lakeville, Ind., to William H. and Daisy M. (Wilcoxen) Frick.

 

On October 20, 1934, as Helen Frick, she married Charles S. Seward who preceded her in death on February 7, 1978. Helen is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Cummins of Johnson City, Tenn. She is also survived by four grandchildren, John C. Cummins, James E. Cummins, Jodi L. White, and Jennifer S. Whitmarsh; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Fuchs of Bremen, Ind.; and by a brother, Clayton (Pete) Frick of Lakeville, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and five brothers.

 

Funeral services for Helen L. Seward will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2000, in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, with the Rev. Charles Ternet of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, March 6, 2000. Helen had been a long time member of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church. The family asks that any memorial contributions be given to the Adult Day Services, 601 Bert Street, Johnson City, Tenn., 37601.
