SOUTH BEND - Mary Jane Shank, 75, of Irish Hills Apartments, died of natural causes at 7:05 a.m. Sunday in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. Mrs. Shank retired in 1985 from St. Francis Convent, Mishawaka, after 14 years of service as a housekeeper. She was born Jan. 7, 1920, in South Bend.
On Sept. 23, 1938, as Mary Jane Long, she married Donald Shank. He survives with a brother, Glen F. Long of Henderson, Ky.
There will be no services or visitation. The body was donated to the Indiana University Anatomical Board, Indianapolis. Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the Gospel Center.
