Mrs. Genevieve Shannon, 59, of 919 Colfax Ave., died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday in St Joseph Hospital after a four-week illness. She was born April 23, 1911, in Edwardsburg and resided in South Bend most of her life. On April 2, 1946, in Columbia City, Ind., she was married as Genevieve Reasor to Raleigh Shannon, who died in 1969. Her survivors are two sons. Eugene at home and Larry E. of South Bend; a daughter Mrs. Virginia Cossel of South Bend; five grandchildren; four brothers, Harold and Edward Reasor of Mishawaka; Arthur Reasor of Madiera California and Gilbert Susan of Niles; and three sisters, Mrs. Philip Kochanowski and Miss Geraldine Reasor both of South Bend, and Mrs. Herman Logsdon of Cape Girardeau Mo. Friends may call from 7 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Thursday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Services will be a 1 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Felton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Shannon was a member of St Paul’s Church.
