Emil F. Sharp

October 23, 1888April 25, 1969

 

Emil F. Sharp, 80, of 124 A Marion St., died Friday evening in Healthwin Hospital after an extended illness.

 

He was born in Indianapolis October 23, 1888, and had lived in South Bend for 42 years.  On February 19, 1908, he was married to Lennie Freund who survives with a daughter, Mrs. Louis Norris of Detroit, and a brother, Dr. Charles E. Sharp of Phoenix AZ.

 

Friends may call in the Forest G. Hay & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Sunday.  Services will be at 11am Monday in the Cathedral of ST James with Very Rev. Robert F. Royster, dean, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Mr. Sharp was a salesman for the Freeman-Spice Co for several years, a member of the cathedral, a 50 year member of South Bend Lodge 294 F & AM, a 50 year member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, a member of Mizpah Shrine of Fort Wayne, the South Bend Turners, a past president of the Lions Club and past president of Four Lakes Country Club where he served as secretary for 35 years.  Memorials may be made to the Cathedral of St. James.
