Clayton William Shoff

NEW CARLISLE - Clayton William Shoff, 69, of Zigler Street, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday in his winter home in Haynes City, Fla., of natural causes. Mr. Shoff retired in 1987 after 39 years as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace divison of AlliedSignal. He was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Fort Wayne.

 

On Aug. 29, 1947, in Howe, he married Mary E. Garlets. She survives with two daughters, Sandra Cook of Huntington, Ind., and Susan Spaulding of Tempe, Ariz.; a son, Randy of Richmond, Texas; seven grandchildren; his stepmother, Nellie Shoff of Fremont, Ind., and a sister, Evelyn Sevits of Angola, Ind.

 

He was a member of New Carlisle Community Church, Bendix Management Club, served on the board of New Carlisle Cemetery and was a World War II Army veteran.

 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in New Carlisle Community Church. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Sara Fund, C/O Norwest Bank, 118 E.
